ABOUT PHILLIP ISLAND BREWING CO.
Philip Island Brewing Co specialises in creating unique small batch hand crafted beers unlike your standard lager.
Unique flavours are created with the use of malts, yeasts and hops. The addition of a diverse range of Australian native fruits and plants are also used to create a range of speciality brews unique to the Island.
We offer an exciting core range of ales to suit all tastes, along with a diversified range of seasonal ales such as our Bronze Medal winner Churchill English Special Bitter, Black Cockie – infused with local Shiraz and our sought after Gold Medal winning Chicory Stout, where roasted Chicory is added to the kettle.
You’ll find our range of beers on tap at Rusty Water Brewery Restaurant & Bar located in the centre of the Island, next door to Amaze N Things opposite the Koala Park Conservation Centre or visit our stockist page for up to date listings.

Koala Pale Ale
HELPING THE KOALAS – ONE DRINK AT A TIME
In keeping with our ethos to give something back, part of the profit from this special beer goes to support wildlife and habitat conservation of Phillip Island’s is renowned colony of koalas. Crisp, light bodied and American in style, it displays subtle hoppy dryness, spicy citrus aromatics and a nutty malt finish. So raise a glass for a great cause and enjoy.

Pure Pilsner
Drawing inspiration from the clear blue waters of Bass Strait, Our Pilsner, is clean & crisp, highly refreshing with a touch of bitterness making this the perfect ale, to enjoy straight from the surf. Light to medium bodied, based on the classic Bohemian style. This Pilsner Lager is brewed using only the finest pure ingredients to deliver a classic. A Beer for any occasion.

Shipwreck IPA
Like Phillip Island's famous shipwreck "The Speke". This IPA has a story to tell, A mix of American hops combine to deliver an upfront full flavoured hop driven IPA displaying tropical fruit and citrus flavours with a resinous bitterness. A medium bodied malt backbone, balances out the big hop flavours and aromas.

LAZY HAZY IPA
Showcasing a vibrant blend of flavors and aromas, with the oats and wheat providing a soft and creamy mouthfeel. The combination of Australian and Kiwi hops delivers a tropical medley of stone fruit, mango, passion fruit, and lychee, making it a refreshing juice bomb perfect for any time of the year....... Cheers to that !!!!

Stealth Black IPA
Wrapped in a wintery shroud, Stealth Black IPA is the ideal companion for those cold nights whilst taking in the warmth of a roaring fire. A blend of American and Australian hops, which meld seamlessly with roast, subtle chocolate, and caramel malts. The hops provide a roasty and resiny character, the malts add layers of subtle sweetness, with hints of chocolate and caramel that soften the beer's intensity.

Express Point, one of the Island's most iconic surf points, where there's no holding back - just like this refreshing XPA, citrus & stone fruits with a clean light body, there's no holding back on the flavour.

Sunset Golden Ale
Phillip Island is renowned for it's golden sunsets and as you take in that moment before the sun sinks below the horizon, you want a full flavoured, easy Drinking session Ale. Golden In colour, displays Citrus And Fruit Notes Imparted From The Hops. NOT YOUR AVERAGE MID STRENGTH BEER

Pinnacle Amber - Bronze Medal
The spectacular rugged landscape of Phillip Island’s Pinnacles is echoed in the rich golden colour of our Pinnacle Amber. An American style Amber, golden auburn in colour, subtle hop flavours are balanced with caramel malts to deliver a complex full bodied, easy drinking Amber. This Ale is a salute to the ancient rocky outcrops that have stood against the backdrop of an ever changing ocean and sky.

Pyramid Brown
The sometimes dark molten appearance of Pyramid Rock lends it's name to our Pyramid Brown, An English style Brown Ale.Brewed using a mix of English hops & malts. Burnt copper in colour with slightly sweet aromas and hints of malt and spice. A light roast character on the finish with caramel toffee tones.

TEMNO CZECH DARK LAGER
A unique take on the Czech Dark Lager combines the traditional elements of the style with an innovative smoked twist, featuring the signature bitterness from Saaz hops balanced by the rich, complex flavors of cherrywood smoked malt alongside delicate hints of chocolate and roast.
The resulting beer is both easy to enjoy and layered, making it a captivating choice for those seeking something familiar yet refreshingly different.

Chicory Stout - GOLD MEDAL
Visitors often ask "what are those old, brick towers dotted around the Island?” Chicory farming was introduced to the Island in 1870 and the kilns still stand today as a reminder of our history. Classic Irish in style, using hops and malts imported from the UK, roasted chicory was added during the brewing process. Enjoy this unique Chicory Stout as a tribute to the history of Phillip Island.

Shiraz Porter - Gold Medal
This special limited release brew is a collaboration between Purple Hen Winery & Phillip Island Brewing Co. The end result is what happens when 2 mates get together over a few drinks and hatch an ingenious idea to create something rare & original. These two old mates offer you this unique Shiraz Porter to enjoy !!

Mango Guava Sour
TART AND REFRESHING,
This Mango and Guava sour ale is naturally sourced using the lactobacillus bacteria. Fermented with Australian grown Guava and Kensington Mangoes, lightly hopped with Citra hops. This an absolute thirst quencher for those hot summer days when you have just stepped off the beach….
All natural ingredients. Unfiltered.

Cerveza Mexican Lager

Churchill ESB - BRONZE MEDAL - SOLD OUT
Classic English Extra Special Bitter in style, malt driven full bodied with an earthy, slightly floral flavour and aroma contributed by the hop variety East Kent Goldings. Five different malt varieties makes for a complex malt back bone. Flavours of overripe fruit, dark bread, toffee and a hint of chocolate balanced by a long lasting pleasant bitterness. Moderate carbonation and thick mouth feel.
Farmhouse Red IPA - SOLD OUT
"This second seasonal collaboration between Phillip Island Brewing Co & Green Gully Brewing,
A single hopped Farmhouse RIPA double dry hopped using only Mosaic hops.
Australian and British malt, provides a simple twist, that delivers a rich toffee flavour, deep red in colour and a firm bitterness that you expect from an IPA, rounded out at 6.8% abv to take away those winter chills."
A Whale of an Ale - Seasonal - Sold Out
This special release brew celebrates some of the
ocean’s most majestic creatures. Phillip Island’s coastal waters play host to Humpback and Southern Right whales making their way north.
This year’s release is a single hopped IPA Style beer, with a mix of stone fruits coming from the Mosaic hops combined with tropical fruit flavours leading to a fresh dry finish.
Botanical Gin
Listen to the gentle hum of the bees as you relax in the cool shade of the perfumed garden. Lavender, Elderflower, Rosemary, Native Lemongrass and Angelica combine with Juniper to produce a heady joy to for the senses. Enjoy!

Citrus Gin
Reminiscent of wandering through an orchard in Spring. Orange, Finger Lime and Lemon combine with good old Juniper for a citrus, floral zing. Cinnamon and ginger are the suns warming rays in this lively, zesty gin.
